If you ever permanently deleted any file either from recycle bin or by Shift+Delete, then don't be afraid because it is very simple to recover almost anything.

You can use Ashamoo Win Optimizer for this purpose. However it is very important to keep in mind that this software is only able to recover files which were deleted after installation of this software. Chances of recovering files deleted before installation of this software are very slim.

You can also view http://www.techyv.com/questions/i-need-help-recovering-deleted-files-shift-del for more information.

I hope this would be of some help.

The difference between normal delete and shift delete is that when you delete a file using shift + Del button. The deleted file bypasses the recycle bin. However this file can be recovered unless overwritten using a good file recovery software such as Yodot File Recovery. It is a perfect software for shift delete recovery. Try downloading the trial version to check its performance. If you are satisfied then go for the full version. Check out the below link

I’ve been using Yesterdata and it’s always done the job.
    Download Page: [ http://www.yesterdata.net/ ]
You should backup your data frequently and you should not write new data until you got all your data back

    Hi shegzy4,

I recommend Emergency Undelete - it's perfect for emergencies such as this and is totally free. I personally have recovered files using this that I had accidentally erased using shift-delete.

For best results, try getting a potable version of recovery apps and place them on a flash drive, memory card, external drive, or another partition. This will ensure that overwriting the securely deleted files is minimized. Also, recovery programs work best when recovering them to a different drive or partition for this very reason, as it tries to write files and information somewhere, and you don't want it to write onto the deleted files. Hope you can recover what you are looking for.

Here are some portable recovery programs that should help out. Take into consideration that you might not find the files you want by name, but instead have to view the files individually until you find what you want.

AVOID WRITING MORE DATA until retrieve the file you want. As more data are recorded after elimination, more harder the recovery.

The function Shift + Delete is a command of the DOS console.
You should try to retrieve the file to a different location (eg Pen or CD) because such file may be rewritten.

Recuva is a very useful program and I have found it very useful in many cases, but this is only if you have not written over or indexed new files on your hard drive. If that is the case you can probably try the deep scan which takes a lot of time but might give you good results.

i deleted the entire contents of a 300gb folder on my computer using Shift delete and then wanted some of it back... i know how you may feel. go online with another computer if you can and download one of the many free undelete programs (just google) or try this one that i used (http://www.google.co.za/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=freeundelete&source=web&cd=2&ved=0CGgQjBAwAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.officerecovery.com%2Ffreeundelete%2Fdownload.htm&ei=5i8JUOT3HsKEhQfc_9WDCg&usg=AFQjCNHTEEoo9ljPjty1xp1hqCbKhVnw0w)
next install this program on a separate drive or run it through your network. you likely wont get back all you lost but something is better than nothing right :-)

You MIGHT be able to get them back by using a recovery program such a Recuva (found at piriform.com). The problem is that if you have written anything else to the disk (including installing a data recovery program), you can overwrite the information you wish to recover. You could also try a bootable recovery CD such as Hiren's Boot CD which has tools to "undelete" files.
