if it is broken then you should seek technical support from companies, be noticed that recovering files will be expensive.

I have a corrupt 2gb micro sd card. I recently purchased the transcend multi card reader and installed their software RecoverX. Now this software does recognise my card but asks me to select a partition, ideally its suppose to show me a partition to select but if i click on my internal hard drive, it shows me the partition but not in the micro sd.

I’m running a win xp and have over 10 gb of free space
Is there something i’m missing, request your help.
    Regards,
    Kapil

no, you shouldn't format it. Formattng it will make it impossible to recover anything at all.

    Hi there,
You can recover your files from the corrupten SD card with data recovery software.I have succeed to recover data from SD card with Tenorshare data recovery. It can recover data after deeply scanning your memory card to look for lost data.
Download a trial version and scan your hard drive for free to check out whether your files can be recovered. http://www.any-data-recovery.com/index.htm

    Ritesh,

did you try the tips in this article: How to Recover Data from a Corrupt Memory Card or USB Drive

I assume this is a card you used in your phone. Did you already try to read it on your computer with an adapter for a microSD card? What operating system do you have?
