Saad Munir asks:
I have read how to record single channel or program using a device connected with my computer, then using Windows Media Center or other software to record my favourite TV shows.
But I want to know if I can ask multiple programs on different channels. Is that possible?
Thank you for answers!

September 11, 2012Some tuners will allow the simultaneous recording of multiple channels, but it depends on the hardware. If you know what you are doing, you may be able to install a second tuner card in the system to allow this functionality as well but configuration of the recording software tends to get tricky with that type of setup. I have not seen it work reliably under Windows, but a neighbor’s Linux box handles a pair of tuner cards without issue.

September 11, 2012There are dual tuner cards, if that is all you need. Ceton makes a 4 tuner card.

I have no idea how good it is, but it is designed for multiple channel playing and recording. Runs at $199.00. Check Newegg for customer ratings. Most love it, some hate it.
I have done two single tuner cards, but it has been a long time. That was back in XP. It was a pain to get to work reliably. More a software problem.

September 11, 2012You would have to have 2 or more tv tuner cards, or a single dual tuner card
