How can I record full screen screencasts with Camtasia Studio 7?

I have a monitor that is full HD. I used Camtasia Studio 7 and Camstudio to record tutorials for my blog. But the software records only 720 pixel and major part like 6 cm above taskbar and 6 cm from right of the monitor screen does not record. I set the record area to full screen, i.e. a big L shape from right is not recorded . What might be the problem?

I use DemoCreator these days and remember you can use the area you want to record by clicking the black tool bar in Camtasia 7, where you can see a "full screen" button. You can find it for sure, or try what I use.

I can only speak for Camstudio (as I haven't used Camtasia) but can you try going to Region in the menu bar, selecting Fixed Region, and clicking on the Select button to select your entire screen (or inputting the screen's resolution in the appropriate boxes) before recording? That is, if you're saying that Camstudio's full-screen recorder's the one giving you trouble.
