August 11, 2012Too vague. WHAT do you want to know about computer hardware? A basic overview of components? We have a manual for that. How to repair and upgrade?
Either way, our hardware manuals would be a great start. http://www.makeuseof.com/pages/download
@muotechguy, I have a basic overview of computer hardware but I am in search of a good guide or website that widely addresses many a computer hardware failures and the ways to troubleshoot them

August 11, 2012I like the following site for basics
http://www.fonerbooks.com/pcrepair.htm
But other then that there is no general source of information. Getting knowledge of hardware and hardware failures requires to read all kinds of sources that includes books, forums, articles, reviews, etc…
Even driver release notes (known issues) may shed light on some problems you encounter.

August 11, 2012Instead of a website, you should look at this first. The 3rd edition of this book is one of the first I picked up to learn about technologies I had not already used. It covers pretty much all of the hardware available at the time of printing and still covers some of the lesser used technologies that are seeing corporate usage with slow technology turnover. Using this as a base, you can then search the web for more information on specific technologies as you desire, but the treatment in this tome has enough depth that you may not need more information.

August 12, 2012When it comes to computer hardware and software knowledge many websites scream loud claims but later push you to the wall by revealing hidden charges after all their boldly quoted free words.anyway i’ve got a perfect choice for you.trust me,you’ll be delighted.just type about.com and find your way to the post of your choice.

September 8, 2012It is one thing to read websites, but you only really start to learn when you get your hands dirty. The very best place I found to learn about computer hardware was in a computer recycling facility where PCs and all tech are wiped, dismantled and recycled/reused. Try and offer to do some voluntary work if you have such a local facility. and consider the CompTIA A+
