Can you recommend a tool that can help track job search and application history?

I am currently an unemployed IT guy who is looking for a website/service or similar, which helps you track your job application history and organize all this information? Or a similar site that could be adapted to serve such a purpose?

The closest thing I have found so far is jobgizmo.com — which is a recent startup that has a web widget that grabs some information from the website you are visiting, but it doesn’t seem to be actively being developed and/or improved upon much.

     Hi
    JibberJobbe
    http://www.jibberjobber.com/login.php
The basic version is free (premium features like expense tracking are available for a fee) so it's an excellent tool for getting and staying organized

    StartWire
    http://www.startwire.com/
After you log in to your StartWire account (you can access it with your Facebook or LinkedIn account) you share information about where you've applied and your application.StartWire then provides daily updates for all the applications you are tracking and notifies you with an email or text message alert if their job status changes.
