John Fahlsing asks:
I’ve tried freeware downloading software, a Chrome extension, and nothing works! Is there a program I can install on a PC that I can run in the background to download video clips? I don’t want a paid program.
Browser: Chrome 17.0.963.46 m

April 2, 2012Actually, there’s a killer Firefox extension (unfortunately I’ve yet to find a suitable Chrome equivalent) called “DownloadHelper”. It can not only extract the videos from youtube in multiple formats, but also allows you to rip embedded videos of most other pages that use flash or embedded mp4 tags.
