How can I protect my Facebook from being viewed by anyone?

Is it possible to maintain your Facebook account private from hackers using ‘View Private Facebook profiles?’ I had someone go through my information and I am really upset. What’s the point in putting your account setting in private?

One of the main problems with social media is that anyone can can access other personal information and scraps. To block unwanted users from accessing your personal info. is to use sufficient privacy settings provided by the social networking site. To protect Facebook private photos and albums viewing from others, click at the top right corner of your account and select Privacy Settings, then click on Profile Information and select options either Only Friends or Friends of Friends for Photos and Videos of Me. You can control access in this way by providing restrictions to whom can access your content.
An article from wikihow appears to be interesting and useful - http://www.wikihow.com/Protect-Your-Private-Information-on-Facebook. You can remove yourself from the facebook search results, I thought through this way one will get more unknown visitors. To enable this go to “Search Visibility” in the search privacy settings page and select “Only Friends”,doing so will remove you from Facebook search results ! Another thing is to control photo/video tag, you can modify it from profile privacy page and modify the setting next to “Photos Tagged of You” and so on.....Need more tips go and read some essential Facebook tips and tricks from http://coolefriend.com/tag/Facebook .
