The first thing you should do is tweak your Facebook settings so that you're always accessing Facebook on a secure server (https://) and you can track who is logging into your account (and from where). I wrote a pretty popular article on MUO about this not too long ago: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/check-accessing-facebook-account/

Anyone who broadcasts themselves as a hacker, is an incompetent script kiddie. A good hacker won't ever let anyone know who he is.

To answer your question, your ID is visible when someone visits your profile. So obviously you'll want to restrict your profile to only your friends and delete friends you don't trust (acquaintances).

With the recent Facebook Security Vulnerability being patched, it is conducive to changing your password as a lot of information was leaked before the vulnerability was spotted.

    To recap:

-Change your password (at least 10 characters, 3 numbers, try not to form a word or something obvious like a name or birthday)

-Restrict profile viewing to only your friends (See: Private)

-Delete acquaintances that pose a security risk

-Remove applications you don't need from your Facebook (the more apps you have, the more possible vulnerable apps an attacker can hit you from)

-Force SSL in your settings (forces encryption of chat, login and browsing)

The first thing you should do is setup a good password (

    http://www.lockdown.co.uk/?pg=password_guide
) . That should mostly be enough , but if you are paranoid you can set up Facebook to send you an e.mail and SMS when ever anyone Logs into your account .
You can increase Security by using Https:// instead of Http://
