July 30, 2012FacebookUpdate.exe
iptray.exe
if you do not use task scheduler then taskeng.exe file also can be stopped
jusched.exe
GoogleUpdate.exe
GoogleCrashHandler.exe
Don’t kill taskeng.exe if you are using scheduled backups using the native Windows Backup tool. This will also disable the automatic scheduled creation of Restore Points so the only ones you get are the ones that are forcibly created by your or by software installers that take this step (not all do).
July 30, 2012No, I don’t use scheduled backups or restore points.

July 30, 2012the past five processes can be killed. (Only they will run again)))) BTW, “indeadlity”GoogleUpdate – one of the reasons why I do not use the native Chrome (I prefer SRWare Iron or Comodo Dragon)

July 30, 2012Also the two nvidia processes can be stopped. Depending on whether you use the Nvidia control panel or not. Disabling the “Nvidia Display Driver Service” in Services will stop both from running, but also stops the Nvidia Control Panel from showing up on the desktop context menu.
will this affect gaming ? because I wan’t to terminate the processes to get good performance in gaming.
July 30, 2012In this case,it’s safe not to terminate them. You can use Game booster software to take care of these processes -

July 30, 2012Try JetBoost from here:
http://www.bluesprig.com/jetboost.html
There are three modes so select Gaming and away you go.

July 30, 2012Go to start Menu, type RUN and open it. In RUN box type msconfig, a System Configuration window will be opened. In this window click on Startup tab and uncheck all un necessary services except critical like AVAST UI etc. than click on Services tab and check the Hide All Microsoft Services at the bottom of the window and than uncheck all unnecessary services except avast etc… I hope this will help you.

July 30, 2012Please do not kill the Task Scheduler (taskeng.exe) when running Windows Vista or 7. Unlike in previous version of Windows both of them use Task Scheduler to run system tasks.
I am not aware of Facebook*.exe processes or application and Google too suggests this is some sort of malware! Update Avast AntiVirus (if you are actually using it) and check your system.

GoogleUpdate and GoogleCrashHandler should only be present when installing or updating Chrome. You might want to kill them and let Chrome do whatever it was trying to again next time.

July 30, 2012If you want to further the steps to try to get better performance, go here and disable unused or unwanted services from running: http://www.blackviper.com/service-configurations/black-vipers-windows-7-service-pack-1-service-configurations/
Although the processes you list can help some, there are many more services that are running in the background that can be disabled or set to manual to get a little more performance. You can also disable features like Aero Peek and indexing to get a little bit more performance if you don’t use them. Some of the resource hungry features of Win 7 can be the ones that make it look “pretty”, but are really unnecessary.
Disable Windows 7 features for performance: http://segmentnext.com/2010/10/04/windows-7-performance-tweak-guide/ or use Simple Performance Boost by Tweaking.com. You can read more about it here: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/tweak-windows-to-increase-pc-performance-with-simple-performance-boost/
Black Viper’s is a must for anyone that wants to tweak windows for ANY reason, gaming being just one of the good ones. Great advice.

July 30, 2012You can kill TaskMgr, Facebook and Google updatres, and both Google Crashhandlers.
TaskMgr is the Task Manager itself so killing it doesn’t really make sence. It will be gone once Task Manager is closed.
July 30, 2012Thats right its nonsense to kill taskmgr
August 2, 2012Maybe you are looking but not seeing! Read what Mike has written and think about it.
July 31, 2012As Mike said twice, close the task manager and the process will be closed until you open it again. It is just plain silly to kill that process.

July 30, 2012Your list only shows the current user’s processes. If you really want to cut down on processes, click on “Show processes from all users”, which will show many system processes (and indeed processes from any other users, if anyone else is logged on). Google each of those processes which you are not sure about, and you will find the information you need. Alternatively, search for them in such sites as http://www.processlibrary.com or http://www.liutilities.com.

August 7, 2012Install tuneup utilities it has a turbo mode which kills unnecessary processes and make the system good for gaming.. Unfortunately its a trail version for 30days and you should buy it.. But its really a cool software with lots of extra features..

August 20, 2012The one that can be disable fairly safe is jusched.exe. Also depending on personal preferences you can disable the facebook updater. Another option is google updater and iptray.
