How do I prevent non-friends commenting on my Facebook photos?

I have realized that when my friends tag people in my photos, they are able to comment even though we are not Facebook friends. This happens even though my photos are on the privacy setting “friends only”. How can I stop this?

      Aniakieron,

I don't have an answer for your question, but I have a message. The question you replied to is a different one and very old. Hence I advice you to ask a new question via MakeUseOf Answers. This will increase your chances for receiving a solution.

I am not sure if it's possible t all but you can try asking this as a new question on MakeUseOf Answers.

You could always untag yourself from photos you do not want to receive comments on. Other than that, I'm not sure there's much you can do in this regard. Maybe post the photos yourself from now on?

I'm not sure why this is the case, but make sure these are set to "Friends only"

    "Comments on posts" http://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=privacy&section=personal_content

I would also remove any unnecessary apps as they may be allowing access (but unlikely) http://www.facebook.com/editapps.php?ref=mb
