Did you install the driver that came with your graphics card or is it using a default Windows driver?

It may be that your card is unsupported. This happens a lot with Intel GMA chips.

The game doesn't support your GPU or it is trying to use integrated graphics. There are certain patches and mods you can do to make the game think it detects a suitable GPU but the performance would possibly be lowered.

It could be a GPU issue or a driver issue. I would compare against the game requirements.

When you get that message it means that the graphics card is not supported by the game. That means you 1(have an old graphics card) 2(need a graphics car) 3(need to upgrade your current graphics card.

try updating your drivers, it would be more helpful if you could give the specs for your computer

If that happens with only some games, that means that those games are not designed for your graphic card!
Or it could be that your card is not that powerful...
If it happens with all the games, probably a driver error! Clean uninstall your graphic card driver, and install it again (search for the latest update)

you have to check your graphic card info and also game minimum requirements.

    try this microsoft solution

it's because simply your GPU doesn't support the game you are trying to run. Modern Games require lot of Graphics Processing power in order to give the player a better experience. There for, the GPU you are trying to run your game is not enough to even start the game.

there can be another situation too. if the necessary device drivers for the GPU is not installed in your system, this might occur. try to find out whether there the device driver is installed and working properly. if it's the case, try to get the updated driver from the vendor and install it.

you don't have a suitable graphics card supported for the game as the modern game use high graphics so you may need to upgrade your graphics card that is most suitable to the game .
the minimum requirement of the game is mentioned on the help file or on the developers site do refer to it before you install a game .
