Sivasis Dash asks:
I have a Dell XPS L501X and I have a 1GB nVidia graphics card. I can see 3D movies using red/cyan glasses but can’t play any 3D games this way. Is it possible to play games in 3D using these red/cyan glasses? Thanks!

For 3D gaming set the resolution to 720p, 1280×720 and refresh rate to 60/59 Hz in HD 3D mode.

where i should set the resolution to 720p, i have nvidia 1gb graphics card in my laptop, but the nvidia control panel does not have a stereoscopic 3d option by which i can enable stereoscopic 3d…..what should i do. pls help…
September 16, 2012Your monitor *can’t* display stereoscopic 3D using Nvidia drivers, they do not support red/cyan and your monitor doesnt support 3d.
To enable red/cyan mode, you need third party drivers like tridef: http://www.tridef.com – they cost about $30, but you can just select “analglyph” as output mode (red/cyan). I hope I dont have to tell you, but that kind of 3d really sucks; but you asked for it, so there it is. There’s a trial version I believe so you can test out first.
