You have a few options here:

-Transfer using your PC connection cable
-Make use of a could storage service (ie: iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, Sugarsync, etc.) Most of these give you at least 2GB of space to utilize for free.
-Transfer via bluetooth if your computer is equipped with a bluetooth adapter
-Use a program to help you with extraction, such as Sharepod.

Hope this helps. =]

When you plug your phone into the computer using the usb cable you should get a windows autoplay box that opens asking what you would like to do with the photos on this device. select import using windows photo gallery. during the import you will have the option of selecting to “remove from device” this will delete all the pictures imported from the phone. pictures will be copied into a folder in your “my pictures” folder in a folder named with the date of import.

if you’re updated to the latest version of iOS then try using iCloud in order to get all your photos on photostream directly to your computer.
