How can I use my phone via my laptop’s WiFi?

Nishant Dalal asks:

I am using Virtual Router to make my laptop a wifi hotspot. I am using Idea 3g Netsetter (USB Modem) on my laptop and want to use it on my mobile phone.

While installing Virtual Router, I am stuck at Shared Connection option as the option drop down is blank.

Can you please help?

I earlier tried with Connectify as well. However I am required to purchase Connectify PRO to share Internet from 3G. This feature is not available on Fee version.

Check this out : http://virtualrouter.codeplex.com/discussions/247153

Alternately try Connectify. If you dont want to install any other application check out this link : http://www.raymond.cc/blog/transform-laptop-into-hotspot-access-point/

Hope this helps you.
