July 5, 2012Just a couple of ideas. Posting interesting content is a great way to draw people to your page and have them like it. For example, if you’re in a video/media industry, posting regular samples of pieces you’ve worked on, tutorials, graphic design examples, etc. If it’s less of a creative industry perhaps something like a free white paper that showcases your companies specialty and knowledge about a subject. Include links to all your social services on your company website and include a link to it in your email signature as well. Cross promote your Facebook posts on Twitter and interact with any communities you can on both social sites so that people are drawn to your page.
Totally agree with your post but the problem I am having is not getting them to the page but getting them to click the like button for the page. Everyone goes to the page and then likes the individual pics but never likes the page at the top. I’ve tried posting several time in my status that they need to like the “PAGE” as well as the pics but almost nothing. Do you have any suggestions?

July 5, 2012I agree with musicphann. Interesting content and advertising your site wherever you can will help. Word of mouth works wonders, but you have to keep things interesting and stand out differently than other pages. If it looks like an advertisement that you would skip, then chances are others will do the same.

July 5, 2012You could tell your friends to like your page, or probably display it on your website. You could also post up some images that would attract the users to share them (quotes, etc.) .

July 5, 2012You just have to make your content interesting. That said, its very difficult to know what people are thinking. Its the reason why internet companies involved in advertising and other forms of business promotion collect so much data on internet users. Advertisers pay top dollar to get at this data, analysed in various forms. You can have a look at web sites of companies in your line of business, particularly the comments section, to have at least a rough idea of what your target audience / potential customers find interesting. From there, put your imagination to work and see what happens. There are not silver bullets when it comes human emotions.

July 6, 2012Create Add for your page and get both listed in recommended list that shows up in FB page right hand side. Make sure some of your friends like your page and share it.. based on that FB automatically recommends the page..
