Why does my PC hang when I try to use my .ISO backup DVD?

Ghodke asks:

I am using Windows 7 and I have created my software & application backup DVD as .ISO format with Power ISO but whenever I try to restore the backup through my backup DVD, my PC hangs. Why?

I have used ‘Power iso’ to make backup of software and application as .iso format.
I just inserted newly backup DVD in my DVD drive after creating it as .iso format, but when I insert it my pc hangs.

Thanks in advance.

Basically when windows is on, you insert iso dvd and windows hangs.

perhaps somehow your iso dvd is corrupted?
can be problem from your dvd reader, uninstall it reboot and let windows to detect the new hardware and reinstall a new driver.

Hello, is there a default program set to open/read ISO format in your computer? As you might know, windows does not have a program to read ISO by default. You might need to set, let’s say power ISO as your default ISO reader.
