My PC won’t run. The power light comes on, but drives won’t open, it won’t boot, the monitor will go to sleep. I’ve replaced the power supply and the graphics card, but still won’t run. Got any suggestions?

    Melissa,

does your screen show anything at all when the power light comes on?

Do you hear any sound, i.e. the hard drive spinning up or a beeping sound?

If you don't hear the hard drive spinning up, that might be the problem. Are all the cables connected properly, i.e. one data cable going from hard drive to motherboard as well as one power connector?

If you hear a beeping sound, can you please describe the sequence? Beeps are typically the BIOS error code, which will point you to what is wrong with your hardware. We would also need to know your motherboard manufacturer and model number if possible.
