I used to use Ubuntu and for downloading YouTube videos I used “http://saveyoutube.com”
I had no problems.
Now I have had to change to Windows, but I can’t get the online YouTube downloaders to work. I’ve installed the latest Java run times, updated my browsers, and updated windows. But these downloaders always give me an error when they load. They sometimes say that a plug-in isn’t working right, or they don’t show me all the available file formats I should be able to save to.
Note that I am talking about downloaders found ONLINE. This computer is not mine, so I can’t install applications.

April 10, 2012Hello, can you tell me what online services have you tried? What browser are you using when trying to get youtube? If it is telling you something about plug-ins, it most times refers to plug-ins for browser itself. Have you updated flash?
i am using firefox now tried it with chrome and opera it didnt work

i have updated everything to the latest
Hello there, yes it seems you need to download the java runtime environment 1.6. I tried this in firefox. Once you download the mentioned environment you should be fine.

April 11, 2012have you updated adobek flash and shockwave, how about your antivirus and firewall did you made any rules regarding that site to be able to download youtube.
try to innstall flashgot and see if this can help.

he numerical signature could not be verified. Do you want to execute the application.
the name is keepVidDownloader
from http://saveyoutube.com
So did you get this message when first time you tried to download youtube from this site.

i am not getting any error it is continuously loading i waited for 10 minutes but keeps loading but on ubuntu it worked within seconds and yes all the addons like java are up to date

Q)How it works ?
A)just go to the main webpage (google it), and click on the download link and it gives instructions, after downloading restart the firefox..
Now while u are watching any video u will see an icon on top right side of the page saying ” 13.5 MB #file name#____”
just click on it and it downloads to Desktop/Documents/Downloads/Ant video downloader.
And most interesting part is if u’r playing 720 P, 1080p, or even 240p it shows all the files size and u have the option to download any one u want..(u should play the video to get the option)

April 12, 2012Probably youre behind a firewall that’s preventing downloads of a specific type? You say you’ve had to change to windows and that it isn’t yours – are you at school or workplace? It’s likely a new firewall came with the computer upgrades.
maybe but videos are playing well why cant it be downloaded its my fathers computer..
April 12, 2012because playing a video online on a web page and downloading a file is completely different perhaps?
Try downloading something else. Like, a torrent file. If something is blocking you, it will most likley be blocking torrents too.
