Hello, usually netbooks have a VGA connection. Your monitor has a VGA connection too. If you want to connect it you just need to get a VGA cable. With regards to affecting your netbook speed, I would say, It wouldn’t. Keep in mind that depending in your integrated graphics card, the definition in your monitor might suffer a bit.
