no symbian phone supports skype video call (atleast wid d official skype app) cz to hav video chat, an app should use flash and I find merely any app other than the default nokia web browser or the opera mobile (not opera mini) using flash. This is why I feel the front cameras are useless to me cz I donot go for video call xcept it works as a mirror to me..

I apologise that I just noticed you have mentioned video call also, which is unfortunately not supported yet in symbian.

Skype for Symbian supports the following features:

    Skype-to-Skype voice calling
Calling mobiles and landlines anywhere in the world (Requires Skype Credit or a subscription)
Receiving calls to your Online Number
    Participating in conference calls
    Instant messaging
    Sending emoticons
Sending texts and setting up sender ID
    Voicemail
    Call forwarding
    Sending and receiving files
    Sending and receiving contact details*
Synchronizing Skype status with phone calendar*
Updating your mood message to show what you have playing on your Mplayer*

The following features are not currently supported:

    Video calling
    Starting a conference call

*This feature is only available on the latest version of Skype for Symbian (2.0). It’s easy to upgrade – simply visit skype.com/m on your mobile browser and download the updated version or visit the Skype for Symbian homepage for more details.

Yes it works. Download it from http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-mobile/download/skype-for-symbian/# . See the compatible symbian phone list in the page and it clearly mentions Nokia N8 in it. :)

From what I've read it is capable of Skype voice calls but not video calls. An app called Fring apparently works though...
