Hello. I want to go back to my old kernel but I need to know if I should backup EFS folder first?

I can’t back up the folder because when I turn on my phone it will say Logs Provider has stopped and also says TW Launcher has stopped, every single second, so I can’t use my cellphone and I can’t connect it to computer because my charging port is damaged?

Sorry, I happened to find conflicting information about EFS backup and CWM; apparently CWM, although makes an image of the internal storage of a device, does not create a backup of the EFS folder that can be restored from. As far as I can tell, the folder may be in the CWM NAND backup, but cannot be easily located or extracted from.

kTool can be used to backup the EFS folder, and then transferred to your external SD card and computer. You should be able to find kTool in the Play Store, if not, you can search http://www.xda-developers.com. More information can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1211798.

You should, if possible, backup the EFS folder. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Here are sine methods of backing it up (though you already should have it when you created a backup from CWM): http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-backup-and-restore-efs-data-imei-on-samsung-galaxy-devices-did-you-do-it/
