sunil kumar asks:
I am unable to access the import and export option for my Gmail account. When I export only the filters are imported to my other Gmail account. There are no emails in them.

March 2, 2012This is kind of a pain. You can use the Thunderbird method I outlined here:
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/download-gmail-google-data/
After downloading your Gmail to Thunderbird, you can add a second Gmail account with IMAP in Thunderbird and drag and drop emails to your new account.
The filter import/export feature only exports the filters themselves. But that’s good, because IMAP doesn’t import/export filters.

March 2, 2012That can be done by enabling
Filter import/export feature in Settings->Labs in your Gmail account. Once enabled, you will see new Export and Import buttons/links on Settings->Filters page.
Here’s description by Google http://gmailblog.blogspot.com/2009/03/new-in-labs-filter-importexport.html
