Why am I missing taskbar icons?

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64x. I have no icons on my task bar. I have tried all known tricks to get them back, so far nothing is working. I tried some third party addons, but they are not like the ones under windows. Check for malware, updated my video driver, still no icons. I patch my registry per instructions from different web sites. The only icons are open software and the normal ones to the right side and start orb on left.

What else I need to do to fix the problem?

I solved problem myself, I had to turn back on my short cut arrows. I had Windows 7 tweak program, I used the tweak to turn my short cuts arrows on. Then my explorer Favorite display right and my icons on task bar return. Right click on file now I have Pin to Task bar back and working.

In searching for a solution, I found out in Windows 64x (all versions) have known bug about turning off the short cut arrow if you turn off only one place.

All tips I have try over past two weeks, then in my searching about short cut arrow.
I have learn about inter workings of Windows 7 and different settings in differ places.
