How can I get the Minecraft modloader to work?

Kasper Andreasen asks:

I’ve been trying to install a modloader for Minecraft 1.2.5. I downloaded Risugamis modloader and I opened the minecraft.jar file with WinRAR. Then I deleted META-INF folder and draw the files into the .JAR file. Then I closed it, ran Minecraft, and absolutely nothing happened. The game doesn’t crash, but I also don’t get the modloader!

Please, help me, as this is driving me absolutely insane!

make sure you put it in the right directory
