Xmarks.. Hmm.. I guess it has its issues with Chrome quite often :(

Yes, Chrome has pretty much exactly the same thing. You have the option to sync everything or choose whatever you want to sync. It syncs automatically. You just need a google account to syn the browser settings.

I don’t think it is as safe as Maxthon Passport… You don’t get to lock the browser either.. No?
