How can I manage my iPod classic when it is connected to a computer running Linux Mint V11 LXDE?

You say "manage", I'm assuming that means to sync music and photos and such, not updating firmware.

The music collection on both my iPod Classic as well as my iPod touch can be managed through Banshee without any problem.

Hello, you could use libimobiledevice.  Make sure that your ipod is compatible with it.
