I have a new blog (ajlondon.tk) that I’d like to have a great theme with. Where did you obtain your theme and where can I find it?

January 21, 2012We have a pretty kick ass web dev, James Bruce. What CMS is your blog running? You should strive for originality.
What do you mean by, “What CMS is your blog running?”? I am running a self -hosted Wordress.
January 22, 2012Then your CMS (content management system) is wordpress. You can find free wordpress themes at wordpress.org.

January 23, 2012Hi Akoya. Our theme is not available to download I’m afraid. It was custom designed by one of the many talented designers who regularly enter design competitions on http://99designs.com . Once we had the design, it then needed to be coded, initially done by http://xhtmlized.com , then customized for WordPress by myself.
If you’re looking for great premium wordpress themes, http://www.elegantthemes.com/ is one of my favourites, and their membership covers all their extensive library of themes.
Another option is to learn CSS/HTML/PHP yourself, and start to customize anything you find.
I purchased a template from Template Monster for my new website. After some initial frustration, I finally got the theme running. As you know, web development (more over, web design) isn’t exactly my strong point. It’s worth learning HTML/CSS and PHP rather than shelling out the $100 for them to install it themselves.
