Why do MakeUseOf eMail URLs open multiple Facebook tabs?

However, often when I click to open the eMail the URL opens about 4 or 5 tabs in my Firefox browser into Facebook. I do not belong to Facebook and this is very annoying. Could you give me some advice on how to eliminate this.

    which MakeUseOf eMails did you subscribe to? Could you please specify whether it’s the weekly newsletter or one of the feed eMails for MakeUseOf.com, the Directory, or Geeky Fun?

    Where do you read your eMails? For example, are you using a desktop client like Thunderbird or Outlook or do you check your mails online, for example at Google Mail or Hotmail?

    What URL are you clicking? Could you please give us an example?
    For example, is it a URL inside the eMail and if yes, any URL or specific ones?
    If it’s not a URL inside the eMail, I suppose you mean it happens when you click the eMail (the subject) itself.

      Makeuseof problem

      I use Eudora as my mail client with Verizon being my ISP. I do not use a web mail client to view makeuseof emails. To view an email I click on it.
      (This is a recent email sent to me from makeuseof) I don’t know what list I signed up for nor do I know how to find out that informtion from the emails sent to me.) I suspect I just went to your website and where it said “Subscribe” I put my email. for example when I click on: sample email below.

      Before the email displays. My browser (firefox vers 3.6.3) opens a new window and the following windows tabs come up. Note these window tabs are not the same every time but similar.

      Both email dtd.
      9/11 & 9/12 opened fine. without going to Facebook. I will follow on successive emails and advise if the above condition returns.
