I have an exchange account and an AOL account that are popped over to MacMail. Emails that come through on the exchange account (my work account) will not delete. I am swimming in emails! In the past, they just wouldn’t delete when I was on the server at work, but I could delete them once I got home on my own server. Now, everything is reappearing!

June 29, 2012What Mac OS X version are you running?
What version is the Exchange server?
Do you retrieve the Exchange emails via POP, IMAP or Web Services (setup as an Exchange account)?

July 1, 2012Check the account settings: you have “leave a copy of message on server” enabled. Disable that.
