can you hear did this just start how old is the display is there anything you have installed like a audio reciver or cable or sat. box try unpluging the display and then plug it back in is there anything on the display can you chage the brightness from the display if you can try turnig it up if nothing is working try calling a TV repair shop some will give you a free diagnostic and tell you if its worth fixing if its new call the shop you got it from they all have at least a 30 day return so if it is new get on it as soon as you can its hard to give any kind of help with out more info.

First of all check all your leads and connections. Start with the easiest and least-expensive solution. Assuming they're all correct it may be a hardware problem, possibly backlight failure, which is fairly common.

Depending on how old your TV is and assuming it's out of guarantee, it may be better to buy new (as technology has moved on considerably in the past few years) than to try and get it repaired. If you're technically minded you could try to replace the inverter board yourself. Google 'LCD Backlight Failure' for advice.

Hello, does same thing happen when you change the input device?  like for example when viewing a movie from DVD player?  Is the sound ok?  Does the image finally shows or it stays black all the time?  I would say you could try resetting the TV by unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for a few hours.  Can you post your TV brand and model?

    Hello Janet,

Do this First, Give your LCD TV for service and let the technician repair the TV for service as it looks like LCD inverter board is dead. I know it costs money but Its the best option as it assures you the reliability of your product as it will be handled by someone who is experienced.
So give your TV for service or if you have warranty then Use it...

    Good day
