How to know the model number of a mobile phone not directly displaying it?

    You can usually find the model number by opening the phone and removing the battery. The phone's details should be visible there.

    Most times the model number would be listed behind or around the battery. It should look something similar to "SGH-a697".

    ...Could you please tell us which phone that you're referring to? That's an extremely vague question.

    On most Android devices you can find you model number by going to Settings>About Phone. Here you may find your device's make, model, build number and other relevant information about your phone.

      I mean like the make and model, then I can tell you how to get the model number. Did you try the steps I listed?

      I tried the process which you outlined ; the 'about' section was not noticed in 'settings'
