Why are the keyboard characters messed up when using Citrix on my Mac?

I have a two year old MacBook Pro that works very well EXCEPT when I access my work files through Citrix. Then, when typing, many non-letter characters are mixed up, e.g. instead of @ it prints / (so I can’t enter email addresses), ? comes out as a German capital E, / as lower case German e, etc.

I’ve downloaded all the drivers and updates from Citrix, which didn’t help, nor did using Boot Camp to install Windows. Any ideas?

PS: I know other Mac users who don’t have this problem with Citrix.

    Try to reinstall again Citrix:

    or

    First, quit the ICA Client.
In System Preferences/International/Input Menu, set the "Input source option" to "Allow a different input source for each documents"
