Is there anyway to sync Skype conversations across multiple devices?

toqi786 asks:

I use Skype on my Mac PC, laptop, phone and tablet however the conversation with my contacts does not sync on every device, unless im logged in that device also.

So i can never view the true full chat history, with my contacts. Is there some way I can force this setting to sync, or is this the best it gets?

You could change the configuration to Skype to save your chat history in Dropbox, SkyDrive, or another cloud-based sync service that you have configured on all of your devices. All of your logs would then be automatically synced with the rest the next time you connect to the net.

Unfortunately, unless the other contact is online, at least one device with the original transcript and history must be online in order for it to be synchronised. This is because Skype is Peer 2 Peer.

Logged in on iPhone (secondary, want to sync).

You could set Skype to save a copy of your chats and sync them with a syncing service. See this article for a how to guide http://raanan.com/2009/06/22/sync-skype-on-multiple-machines-with-dropbox/ .

that explains why solving the syncing problem is not that easy….not even by the experts…furthermore it’s not only skype that is facing the problem….numerous other programs are facing it too
