Why does my Internet speed slow down after I download data?

My connect is unlimited but it seems to slow after I download a watch, like watch some movies or download some data. What causes this?

Probably because your internet service providor slows down your internet connection deliberately after your monthly plan runs out of GB

If you are downloading via torrents, then the seeding might be the cause.

may be the interner provider is not providing you the full speed, most of the internet companies say that they provide a specific speed but in fact it's lower than what they say. so it may be your speed is not ulimited.

By the rules of TRAI, every broadband user has a limit(even though your plan is unlimited).
There's limit called FUP (Fair Usage Policy). Once you cross it, your internet speed reduces.

According to my Unlimited internet plan i get around 20 GB per month for 2.00 Mbps. Once i cross 20 GB my internet speed reduces to 256 Kbps.
Depending on the plans, your data limit and speed limit varies.

contact your isp and upgrade your speed ,your data limit is unlimited not your speed

check your modem's temperature before and after you download to see if that is the culprit. secondly, check your speed on some internet speed test sites to see if you get consistent results. remember that wired connections - dsl / cable net are more consistent as compared to using a wireless connection such as a 3g dongle.
