Why won’t Internet Explorer 8 load links on my Windows 7 PC?

Just got a new computer with Internet Explorer 8 and Windows 7.

When I go to Gmail I can’t open links that are attached or even when I surf the web. IE used to work fine on XP but in Windows 7 it doesn’t. I have had to download Google Chrome and Firefox instead.

Hello, have you tried updating your browser to version 9?  Easiest way would be to use windows update and it should be there.  It is faster, more secure and I think it would solver your issue.  By the way, you are better off using chrome or mozilla anyway.

Internet Explorer 9 is so much better and much faster than 8.  If I were you, I would update to IE9.   That installation should correct any issues.
