I’m new to Linux and Ubuntu. I have been trying for weeks to find out how to install VMware server 2 in Ubuntu and I always get stuck with last part of the install process. It aborts the whole thing. Some tutorials say it must be patched but as I’m new to Ubuntu I never get the thing right.

Would there be a charitable soul that could help me with a precise detailed way on how to install the damned software. By the way VMware such definitely provide a deb as it does with rpm. Thanks a lot.
