Osama Javaid asks:
Adobe Flash Player is required to watch YouTube videos, but even after repeated successful installs of Flash Player in my Tor browser, it still asks to install the missing flash plugin. why is that so? I even removed the default ‘noscript’ addon from the Tor browser. I need Tor browser for YouTube only.

October 7, 2012The Tor Browser Bundle does not work with Flash or other plugins by design. If you wish to run these plugins over Tor, you need to install Tor and configure your own instance of Firefox.
What is the difference between installing a tor browser and installing tor?
October 7, 2012The browser bundle does not work with Flash. You would need to manually configure a Firefox installation after installing Tor.

November 4, 2012Tor is going to block all instances of Flash, if you are looking for privacy use private browsing (different names on different browsers) or if you need the extra protection that Tor offers, you are going to have to make it yourself

December 28, 2012You can see youtube with addon’s for youtube.
Be ready for a strobocopic effect when watching youtube.
Sound is allright, but you have to be satisfied with a few pictures every second.
Using flash will make a direct connection, so your tor anonymity will be given upp!
It is a known trick to lure you to make a flash connection. They will hope you want to see a flash youtube movie, just to reveal your identity.

March 20, 2013Hi Everyone,
Now you can install the Adobe Flash Player in you Tor Browser. Just follow the following steps and you can run youtube on Tor browser;
1- Locate all the files at C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash
2- Then copy all the files and subfolders to your directory of (if you dont see any “plugin” folder in your directory then create a new folder in lower character case)
\Tor Browser\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox\plugins
3- Now Start Tor
4- Go to “Tools > Addons > Plugins”
5- Enable “Shockwave Flash 11″ if it’s disabled
So, there you go!
And while playing a video on youtube if you see a sign of “S” and video doesn’t starts then just click on the video screen and the video will start in the frame.
Enjoyyyyy!
I only see FlashInstall.log in the windows folder. Is that OK?
