November 7, 2012There is currently no texting integration with facebook.
Alternatively what you can do is create a facebook email address here –> http://allfacebook.com/how-to-get-a-facebook-email-account-now_b23376
After you create the email address, get the person you want to text with to send a text message to your facebook email address. You will receive it in the Other tab of your facebook inbox and be able to reply. Some cellphone carriers may not allow you to respond. Some cellphone carriers may also consider a text to email a MMS message, which could get expensive. Check with your cellphone provider before attempting this!

November 7, 2012You mean sending an sms to a mobile phone number from facebook message application? I don’t think its available in any country now. It will always be sms notification to registered numbers inside facebook users.

November 8, 2012Ya..there is no such integration in facebook..but you can update status and poke back or comment instantaneously via your mobile phone(text message)
