Vijay Tottempudi asks:
My downloads are too slow in uTorrent. I only get a speed of 43kb/s, but I know my Internet connection is faster than that. What can I do to increase the speed of download? Should I look out for something when it comes to downloading torrents? How do I know what will be faster, and what else can I do on my end to speed things up?
Thanks.

July 13, 2012Always try to make sure while downloading any torrent file that there are maximum seeders/peers available to the torrent. The much there are seeders/peers the more you will get the speed. If there is no seeder/peer to any torrent there will be no downloading.

July 13, 2012When a torrent file has is being downloaded, right at the uploading speed, select ‘Bandwidth’ and set speed for the upload to the minimum. You have to repeat the process until you can access and drag the bandwidth allocation from ‘Unlimited’ to the minimum level (3kb) level. When the uploading speed will be minimum, the downloading speed will automatically improve.
However, whenever you need to check the speed of the internet, check out these 5 sites. They offer good analysis and breakdown of Internet speed including the download and upload speed. http://www.mizwhiz.com/women-and-internet/websites/five-best-internet-speed-test-sites-to-test-speed-and-quality.html
It’s working. Thnx.
September 10, 2012It’s working by decreasing the upload speed. Thanks.

July 16, 2012If you’re downloading from a public tracker, this isn’t unusual. Try something from a private site like TorrentLeech and you’ll start seeing 5-10mb+ speeds.
Your ISP may also be forcefully reducing the bandwidth. Try with a torrent friendly VPN to diagnose that.
Your internet may also be crap; be sure to test the *actual* speed from speedtest.net and not just rely on what you *think* you pay for.

July 17, 2012You did not state from which sites you download from. I can give you a few that are fast to download from but you have to seed back. Let me no just who you use to download from.

July 21, 2012There is no other way to increase torrent downloading speed .
torrent downloading speed depends on Number of SEEDS&PEERS if you have more seeds you can get more speed .
Note :before downloding a torrent check for the seeds .
