How can I make IDE the default boot mode on my laptop?

aryafab asks:

My Laptop only starts in IDE mode, but default mode is something different. Every time I start my laptop, it stops in the middle and than I have to enter setup by pressing F2 and change the HDD to start in IDE mode. Then it works fine, but IDE mode is not a default mode. Can any help me to make IDE mode the default mode.

Enter your BIOS settings and set IDE as default. Buddy,specify your laptop brand and model for specific instructions.
