After clicking the “check for updates” option in settings on my Samsung Galaxy S2, all I come up with is a “cannot connect to server” response. Wi-Fi is connected so I don’t see what is wrong so how do i go about updating? I’m still running version 2.3.3

June 11, 2012You need to use the desktop app Kies to update to ICS. Connect the phone to the computer after you install the software, then follow the instructions. Make sure your battery is charged more than 50%.

June 12, 2012Yes, you can use Samsung Kies to update your phone. Just download, install, plug in your S2 and follow the instructions.

Try updating to newer version of kies and if it still persists,then go to tools –>Troubleshoot connection error.Then click on Troubleshoot connection error.

October 2, 2012How do I disable the update function on my Samsung2. Latest update (done manually) has screwed up my phone which used to work before then. E-mail syncs are incomplete and calendar does not keep the entries once saved after a phone switch off.
If you enable Wi-Fi only update option,then it might not be able update automatically.

November 15, 2012When I download and Install the software it says my phone is not compatable with the kies program. I have the galaxy s2x.
Update Kies to latest versiona dntry to update your phone or else try to update it over the air by going to Settings –> About Phone –> Update.
