It’s been a while since I have been here, so I had an account with MakeUseOf before and now that they updated the point system so I lost all of my points. What can I do?

Yes, please email email@example.com with your old user ID and email.
You will need to drop an email to any one of the MUO team, providing ur old id/login.
I did the same and my points were restored.
