How do I befriend a friend on Facebook?
All you need to do is to first know his name. Then type it in the Facebook search box.
Here is the url :
If you are using secure connection then,
https://www.facebook.com/search/results.php?q=Your Friend's Name
If you are using a non secure connection
http://www.facebook.com/search/results.php?q=Your Friend's Name
Secure or Non secure depends upon your Facebook settings. You can identify the type of connection (secure or insecure) by checking your browser's address bar, if you observe "https" then it is secure if not then it is insecure.
For firefox, If it is a secure connection,
You will notice a blue color on the address bar
For chrome, If it is a secure connection,
You will notice a green colored "https" word and a lock symbol behind it.
use the facebook username of your friend or the email of your friend.
You can type their name in the search box to find out if they have a Facebook page. If they do, you can go to their page and click on the 'Add friend button'. If you know their email address, on your page you can click on the Find Friends option on the left if you still have the classic view. You will be presented with options on how to contact them using their email address under your list of friends. You can also upload a contact file, find people who work at the same place, went to school at the same high school or college, etc. If you have the timeline view, clicking on the friends section will give you results with a search box at the top right. You can click on the little icon to the left of the box to change search restrictions based on interest, school, employer, city, hometown, etc., and type the name of the person in the search box. Clicking on the Find Friends button in the upper-right corner will pull up a list of people meeting any of the individual criteria provided with the specific search, including friends of friends.
