How do the N , E , Lumia and the denominations of Nokia phone models represent their subset and standard? What do E , N, Lumia and the numbers denote? How could one understand the class of phone by it’s model number?

E.g. Are all Lumia phones Windows based? Are all E phones smartphones? Which indicates touch-screen models?

N series are of multimedia ones which possessed good camera and music.

E series is for business users which has qwerty keypad in common.

All Lumia phones are Windows phones and have touchscreen panels as no Nokia windows phones have physical keyboard.

Before 1 year,Nokia introduced a new naming scheme in which the model number were of three digits. It started with 100 and can be upto 1000 or more. The higher the number, higher the features and cost. This method of modelling the phones makes it much easier for a buyer to decide a Nokia phone to purchase at a glance.

Some times it's hard why we have difference, there are so many form factors for the price to be judged
    example
    1. Camera, screen resolution, size of phone(don't be confused with resolution) later we have long lasting in built sub components, last but not the lease Processor ram etc.
Apart from this some phones are cheap, because they use old machinery to build the system.
