How can I watch television channels on my TV via my iPad?

I’ve connected my iPad to my television with a cable and am able to watch Netflix/Hulu on the TV through apps. Is there another app that would let me watch TV stations like ABC, CNN, NBC and etc? I have read reviews of Livestation, but it seems to be for watching TV on a PC, which isn’t what I want to do.

This is what I use to watch live cable and TV shows even away from my house, but you have to have Time Warner cable

Thanks but I want to watch on my TV. I want an app that will allow me to access networks on my iPad which can be plugged in to my TV enabling me to watch the programs on the iPad on the TV screen. I already watch them on my iPad.
