My PC is connected to a router through ethernet cable. My iPhone is connected to the same router wirelessly. I want to access files in my PC from my iPhone. Is it possible? How do I do it? Thanks.

Why not bro??? Bakari Chavanu has already posted an article for your answer today itself....

This one is only for iOS users and apps for android or other platforms are yet to be released!!!

http://kb.linksys.com/Linksys/ukp.aspx?pid=80&vw=1&articleid=27774 shows how to use a fire explorer on your iOS device to access networked computer fires, and http://www.howtogeek.com/65643/ shows a couple of other ways. Not sure if there is a free alternative to do this as I am not an iOS user, but I'm sure there are at least a couple options you can find in the App Store.

very much thankful for your answer guys. BUT I think I did not clarify what I want.

I want to open, in my iphone, ipad, the files (video and pic) stored in my PC through Google Chrome on my iphone, ipad (by writing IP address of my PC like 192.168.1.x ) so that I can beam the media playing on my iphone, ipad to Google Chromecast. Is it possible??..thanks

If you mean like remote desktop to your PC there are a lot of choices. Just search for RDP on appstore

If you want to access videos, music, photos etc, then try searching for DLNA

But if you want to access executables etc there is no point. That's why you probably won't find any apps for it.
