How can I use multiple Dropbox accounts on my MacBook Pro?

I’m trying to create a second Dropbox account following the process you describe; using Terminal I managed to get the second icon in my toolbar (all right!), and then I open Terminal again to generate a DropboxAltStarter application that I want to keep in my ‘Documents’ folder, but it doesn’t work. No application appears in my folder.

I’m on a MacBookPro with 10.6.8.

Agree Dropbox encore is the best way to have multiple dropbox accounts. Just one thing: make sure you read and follow the installation steps

One way to handle this might be to set up the secondary Dropbox account, then share a folder (or folders) with the primary account. On your Mac, you would be connected to the primary account, and the shared folder(s) would appear there, but anything you save in them would be stored in the secondary account.

    Hope that helps...
