How can I save or forward text messages that have attachments from my Android phone?

Judy Forster asks:

I have several messages with attachments that I need to keep but they are on my Android. Is there a way to forward them to my computer or Gmail? I can not find a “forward” option on my phone for texts.

It should have an option to save to your phone then you can go to the relevant app and share it
