How can I save my music from my iPod to my Windows computer?

I would like to save the music from my iPod to my computer, so that I can erase the music I have on my iPod and add new music….

    You need a good software to manage your ipod! What I am using is freeware Syncios. With this freeware, you can batch manage your music, videos, ebooks, etc.

    i used PodTrans Pro from iMobie to copy all my Itouch music to my PC.

    I downloaded itunes to my PC running Windows7, when I was asked if I wanted to "sync" I said yes, and all my itunes showed up. I run feeware to convert M4a files to MP3 if needed. Unfortunately there is not yet any itunes for Windows8

    Another application that worked fine for me: DeTune (http://www.headlightsoft.com/detune/).

    In case you've got a "clickwheel" iPod: All music files are "on disk", but in a hidden folder and renamend... Mount the iPod as external drive, then copy the files from the hidden music folder -- and have fun retagging them :-/
    That's why I used DeTune...
